The setting was fantastic, near the center, and the waterfront. Spent a nice evening at Vacuno, located few metres away from the venue.

Bob
The venue was set in the very central position short walk to the beach and marina, the main shopping street in the city center and Gijón.

The location was super convenient - we were just a 5-minute walk away from the marina, beaches, and market square. There were so many cool facilities nearby, like the aquarium and thalassotherapy centre. And get this - even a casino! It was like a paradise for young party-goers like us. We had a blast exploring the area and having fun with our friends.
The only thing we would have asked for is a better nightlife scene near the hotel. We wanted to have a wild night out, but couldn't find any clubs or bars within walking distance.

I recently stayed at a hotel in a tourist-centered area, and I had a fantastic experience. The staff at Castilla was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. They were flexible with my check-in time and even accommodated multiple changes to my room reservation. The location of the hotel was ideal, just a short 7-minute walk to the plaza and the beach. The room was clean, and the heating worked perfectly. Additionally, the breakfast provided a good variety of options, including warm toast, fruits, yogurt.
Nothing, it was perfect! 😊

The location was great, within short walking distance to Gijon Railway Museum. What's more, it was so close to the centre of the town as well as the marina and the historic buildings.

Located right in the heart of the city, it offered easy access to the marina, beautiful beaches, and the vibrant market square. We enjoyed exploring the area which also includes attractions like the amazing aquarium, a relaxing thalassotherapy center, and even a lively casino. It was all within a short 5-minute walk from the hotel, making it extremely convenient for our family to experience the best of Gijon.
For dads, it would be great if the hotel had a small play area or a designated kids' corner to keep the little ones entertained.

I stayed at Hotel Castilla for a few nights while exploring the city. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, even assisting me with phone calls in Spanish. The hotel's central location made it easy to walk to the train and bus stations, as well as explore the city on foot. The price was very affordable, and I found the people in the city to be welcoming and appreciative of my attempts to speak Spanish. I will definitely be returning in the future.
I would be happy to recommend this hotel.

The room and bathroom in the hotel were very clean and well maintained. The shower was excellent and helped to relax after a long day. The location of the hotel was unbeatable, right in the heart of downtown Gijon and close to the old town. It was perfect for shopping and exploring the city.
The hotel did not have air conditioning and instead relied on fans and open windows, which could be an issue during hot weather. The lack of modernization was noticeable and could use some improvement.
